General Sessions: Comprehensive Methods Program

Every year we offer two General Sessions. The dates of our 2025 sessions are:
First Session: Monday, June 9-Thursday, July 3, 2025
Second Session: Monday, July 7-Friday, August 1, 2025

Our General Sessions are offered in a dual-mode format: In-person (on the University of Michigan campus in Ann Arbor), livestream synchronous via Zoom, and asynchronous videos. All participants have extended online access to lecture recordings and course materials through December 31.

General Session classes are categorized as either a course or lecture. Courses feature a full semester's worth (40 contact hours) of intensive instruction in specific quantitative methods and statistical techniques, while lectures provide a half-semester's worth (20 contact hours) of supplementary instruction in math and computing. In each session, the math and computing lectures are held during the first week of the session, while the courses are held during the last three weeks of the session. You can select up to 4 courses, plus unlimited lectures, per session.
