There's nothing else like the ICPSR Summer Program's General Sessions! A comprehensive methods program, our General Sessions feature instruction for students, faculty, and researchers of all skill levels. We offer a foundation in basic statistics and regression analysis, as well as specialized training in advanced, cutting-edge methodological techniques. You pick the courses you want to suit your own educational needs and research goals!
Course instruction goes well beyond sitting in a class and taking notes. Our award-winning faculty encourage participants to practice and apply the methods they’re learning. Course lectures are supplemented with labs, collaborative learning sessions, and office hours, giving you plenty of opportunities for individual guidance and feedback on course material and assignments, as well as your own research projects. By the end of the session, you’ll possess the skills and confidence you need to analyze data on your own!
Our General Sessions feature unparalleled networking opportunities with scholars from more than forty countries. From picnics and other social events to online special interest groups, we offer plenty of ways to connect with your fellow participants whether you’re attending in-person or virtually. Our goal is to help you develop friendships and professional connections that will serve you throughout your career.
