Recruitment for Equitable FSRDC Survey and Focus Groups
Hello ICPSR Community,
Are you interested in using restricted-access data? Have you faced structural impediments trying to access data in the Federal Statistical Research Data Centers (FSRDCs)? Are you a researcher at a less-resourced public college or university, a minority-serving institution (MSI), a local and state government agency, or a small nonprofit agency?
We’re reaching out with an opportunity to respond to a survey being conducted as part of a project entitled: Challenges to inclusive and equitable evidence-building research in the Federal Statistical Research Data Centers (FSRDCs). The Texas Federal Statistical Data Center, a member of the FSRDC network, is conducting the survey to collect feedback on:
- Perceived barriers to restricted-access data research
- Supports needed to conduct restricted-access data research
- Datasets of interest
- Access modality preferences
- Interest and confidence in conducting restricted-access data research
The survey is part of the National Secure Data Service Demonstration (NSDS-D) project being sponsored by the National Center for Science and Engineering Statistics (NCSES) within the National Science Foundation (NSF). The results of the project will inform overall strategies in improving equitable access to data within a potential future National Secure Data Service.
If you are interested in responding to the survey, please follow the link below. The survey will take approximately 20 minutes to complete. Do you know someone who fits this description? Please forward them this message.
Equitable FSRDC Access Feedback Survey
A subset of interested survey respondents will be invited to participate in focus groups held by the National Latino Research Center (NLRC) for an in-depth exploration of barriers to data access and use.
