HPOG 2.0 Grantee Interview Data Released by the Child and Family Data Archive!

The Child and Family Data Archive (CFData) is pleased to announce the release of new data from the Evaluation of the Second Round of Health Profession Opportunity Grants (HPOG 2.0) (ICPSR 38427). This update adds data from grantee interviews conducted during the National Evaluation of HPOG 2.0.

HPOG was created to provide education and training to Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) recipients and other adults with low incomes for occupations in the healthcare field that pay well and were expected to either experience labor shortages or be in high demand. Following on a first round of HPOG awards in 2010 (“HPOG 1.0”), a second round of 32 five-year grants across 21 states were funded in 2015 (“HPOG 2.0”).

This update adds data collected from two rounds of phone interviews conducted with management, staff, partners and stakeholders at each HPOG 2.0 program, who provided information on how programs are designed and implemented, as well as the education and healthcare occupational training and program support services they provide.

Access to these data requires an application. For more information or for assistance with accessing the data, please contact us at CFData-help@umich.edu.
